SD40E Subsystem Mold

Sumitomo's new high-cycle mold design on the SD40E disc molding subsystem helps molders achieve faster cycle times and higher yields. The custom-designed molds, which are available for CD, CD-R, DVD-ROM, DVD-R/RW and any other high density media, provide:

• A high-precision interlocking structure and specialized coatings to ensure long life of the mold and mirror block
• Easy stamper change at high mold temperatures
• Interchangeability of key parts
• Fewer moving parts for ease of maintenance
• 3 or 4 independent cooling circuits for faster cycle times
